His work spans television, theatre, radio and videogames. Dr Marisa Haetzman, a consultant anaesthetist for two decades, later specialised in medical history, researching James Young Simpson and the discovery of chloroform. Together, as Ambrose Parry, they write bestselling historical crime novels such as The Way of All Flesh and latest The Death of Shame.
