Description:
The Ruthwell Cross is Scotland’s oldest Anglo-Saxon Christian monument. Religious conflicts over the centuries left many of the superb original carvings badly damaged. Some are missing entirely. In this exhibition of specially commissioned drawings, Edinburgh artist and printmaker Cat Outram has re-imagined them, while trying to remain true to Anglo-Saxon iconography.
