Description:
La Vie et la Passion de Jésus Christ. A unique opportunity to see the life of Christ as depicted in the very early days of film. Lasting 40 minutes, this sequence of five biblical episodes, made in 1903 by the celebrated French directors Lucien Nonguet and Ferdinand Zecca, is unusually long for the period and was the first feature film to have colorized sequences. Introduced by Richard Kendall, a specialist in the history of silent film.
