Description:
Fresh from touring The Benny Lynch Story, completing the film comedy Fisherman’s Friends, and playing Private Frazer in the remake of the lost episodes of Dad’s Army (and a few other things besides!), Scottish acting’s national treasure revisits a highlight-strewn career now in its fifth decade; though his love of live theatre doesn’t preclude some strong views on the shape it’s in. A commitment to social justice and Scottish independence are interwoven into Hayman’s very fabric, and generate some forceful opinions, most notably his commitment to Spirit Aid, the humanitarian organisation he established in 2001.
